Hello esteemed delegates and guests of the Model UN!

I am pleased to welcome you to our committee. The Economic and Social Council is one of the main bodies of the UN. Within the ECOSOC, important issues of global cooperation in social policy and economics are discussed, and our contribution to solving global problems is simply invaluable!

The Sustainable Development Goals are the goals that could help us achieve a level of development and cooperation where we could meet all our needs without harming future generations. We have not much time left to achieve these goals, so it is extremely important for the entire global community to come together and work together. In modern geopolitics, actors are not only states but also the private sector, and its role in achieving Sustainable Development Goals is the point of our discussion.

Dear delegates and guests,

I am pleased to be greeting you to our committee on behalf of our most wonderful council. As one of the six principal organs of the UN, ECOSOC is considered as one of the main venues for the discussion of economic, social, humanitarian, and cultural issues. Our council also focuses on Sustainable Development Goals which are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and improve the lives and prospects of everyone, everywhere and I await with excitement to hear your opinions in the open discussions we will have.

As the UN largest and subsidiary body developing and cooperating to discuss as a whole Sustainable Development Goals is crucial to our committee. With our world ever changing due to new political courses, arising social, economic and cultural problems we have to be flexible to and come together as a whole to come to a rational decision for the people, planet, prosperity, peace and partnership.

I urge everyone to be open to discussions, share their own thoughts and be keen to solve global problems and I can’t wait to see you all at the Model!
