Amnesty International (AI), international nongovernmental organization founded in London on May 28, 1961, that seeks to publicize violations by governments and other entities of rights recognized in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948), especially freedom of speech and of conscience and the right against torture. It also works with intergovernmental human rights bodies to expand and enforce human rights protections in international law.

On behalf of the Presidium of Amnesty international, I invite you to take part in this splendid event, where not only will you be able to grow in your professional skills, but you will also find new friends and acquaintances that will stay with you for a very long time.

During our committee’s sessions we will be working on finding reasonable and trustworthy solutions on concerns of our agenda. Indeed, digital inequality nowadays is standing as one of the most acute problems in terms of human rights violation. It is up to us to be wise, cooperative and active to fight against this issue. And that is exactly what we are going to do during the work of our committee.

Digital divide is a burning issue in the Information Age we are living in. It obstructs obtaining equal opportunities all people deserve as information and communication technologies are the basis for modern economy and social connectivity. This issue cannot be overseen and it is our mission to help people deprived of the access to digital technology.

I believe we are going to find a necessary and appropriate solution during the sessions. I wish you all a productive conference and a lot of new experience and valuable acquaintances.

Dear delegates,

I am pleased to meet you to the Amnesty International at MSUMUN. It is a big honour for me to work as an expert at the committee this year.

It is needless to say how essential the issue of digital divide nowadays. The lack of internet connectivity leads to huge variations of violations of humans rights. It our main aim to help those who are left behind and surely we cannot close our eyes at this topical problem.

I hope that we will find a prolific solution to the mentioned above issue and provide help for those who need it. My wish for you is to experience this new overwhelming activity and to get valuable knowledge.
